It might seem counter-intuitive to ask a single, non-pregnant woman to be my host for the blog tour of A Catholic Mother’s Companion to Pregnancy: Walking with Mary from Conception to Baptism.

Once upon a time, I might have agreed with you.

And then, somehow, amazingly, I became a mom. I still consider myself an unlikely candidate for motherhood, and here I am, having written a book on the subject of pregnancy.

Just as I have a list of pregnant women I pray for, I also have a list of single women. It’s a relatively recently list, inspired by a couple of long conversations and a longing I’ve observed.

Today’s hostess is one of these young single women who’s close to my heart, Sarah from Catholic Drinkie. She was kind enough to host today’s prayers for the rosary (we’re up to the Ascension) and she also actually read the book.

Does the apply to her?

Yes. It does.

If you want to know why (and how), you’ll have to pray with us first. 🙂 (Ha! I’m tricky that way!)
