So it’s the beginning of a new month and time to resolve something, anything, to improve my life. Michelle reminds me, each month, that it’s supposed to be something small, something achievable, something that’s not so big that it qualifies as a yearly resolution. This month, I’m going to take her advice at more than just face value. This month, my only two resolutions (c’mon, you knew there would be more than one, right?) are to clean my house and to do some of the personal writing I keep meaning to start back up. That’s it.

And if I get them done, it will be by the grace of God, because the house is a mountain of mess and the writing requires some motivation that seems to be buried deep in my pillow somewhere.
