My reading time has been dissolved into something akin to “other people’s normal” lately, and it’s killing me.
Even so, with Lent around the corner, I can’t help but look to my bookshelves for some inspiration. This year, maybe more than usual, I feel like I need some extra motivation.
My motivation comes from books (big shocker, I know!)…and this year I have a small pile of four.
You can read about them and why I am looking forward to them over at the Register today.
I can’t believe Lent is right around the corner! Thanks for these resources as I try to figure out how to observe the season this year.
Yeah. I’m pretty much in denial myself. 🙂
Lenten reading is a new thought for me…outside of what the church hands out to us…I am actually going to read a book on Ignatian retreats because I am hosting a half day retreat for some ladies and also at my priest’s suggestion, Scott Hahn’s Signs of Life to expand my exposure to Catholic practices of devotion.
Oooo, that sounds like a good one, Kath!
