Over at my Register blog, I have a review of a new album from the Monks of Norcia that has been a sort of sanity for me since I received my copy to review.
It’s an album of Marian chant, and it’s great. There’s a reason it’s topped the classical chart for three weeks.
What I found most interesting, though, as I was preparing my piece, was the facts I learned about the monks. Their average age is 33. They brew beer. They sing something like nine times a day.
What’s not to love?
This album is really a dose of loveliness, an earful of peace, a soundtrack of chanting goodness.
You can read it all at the Register. Trust me: you DO deserve this album!
