Sometimes, God gets my attention in the darndest ways.
Like when I finally sit down and listen to the daily Mass readings…
and I hear the Gospel…
I mean, really HEAR the Gospel…
like it’s from God’s mouth to my heart.
I’ve been mulling over rhythms and routines lately. Maybe it’s in the air. (Michelle’s mulling too (yesterday and again today), and I’ll bet a bunch of other people are too, though I haven’t had/made/taken time to blogread much lately).
So hearing today’s Gospel, especially in light of the wrenches in my plans of late, is just…
…nice.
Here it is, in case you need a dose of nice too. 🙂
Jesus said:
“Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened,
and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you and learn from me,
for I am meek and humble of heart;
and you will find rest for yourselves.
For my yoke is easy, and my burden light.”
