Last week, I mentioned that I’m joining the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s “Light the Night” walk and I asked for your support with both prayers and funds.
But now, now it’s personal.
Meet the woman we called Nini.
She impacted a lot of lives in her 82 years, and there aren’t a lot of dry eyes right now, as friends and family process her quick passing: she found out about her lymphoma in early August, and on August 31, she entered eternal life.
My walk has a purpose now.
I’ll be walking and thinking of Christmas cookies, of craft projects, of a kitchen table with well-worn wisdom. I’ll be praying for those whose lives are crushed by this loss, for those who face a similar loss, and for those who are fighting against leukemia and lymphoma.
You could walk too (there are walks all over the country), or you can join our prayer campaign. There’s even the ability to donate.
Your money goes to support leukemia and lymphoma research. It makes a difference right now.
And thanks. For your prayers. For your support. For your passion.
My heart goes out to you, Sarah, and to your family……I understand as we lost my mom within 4 weeks of her diagnosis…….love and prayers to you and your family…..
