In 1992, at the age of 35, I was exhausted from life. All the big questions of life were unanswered for me and I had used up the list the world had told me would make me happy.
I crashed and burned.
Our Mother, who I did not know, was there to pick me up. She led me to her Son.
Then she sent some people to tell me more about her Rosary, Medjugorje, the Real Presence of Jesus, Confession, and Divine Mercy. And that led me to St. Louis de Monfort, True Devotion, and Totus Tuus.
When I read St. Louis de Montfort’s books it all made sense. If we want to come to Jesus, why not come the most perfect way, the way of Mary, the perfect one?
The fourth joyful mystery is the Presentation. I remember the hearing the words in my heart, “If Mary’s hands were good enough to carry Jesus, what about you?”
I ask our Mother to “carry me” wherever I am supposed to be according to our Father’s plan. Sometimes she has to drag me kicking and screaming. I cannot imagine my life without her running the show. Her plan of daily Mass, daily Rosary and Bible, fasting, Adoration, Confession, and letting go and trusting Jesus is the best possible life. Her plan leads home to heaven, the goal of any life.
