Julie’s was one of the first blogs I ever read, and I credit her with my own
She says some nice things about my book, which are made more special to me because I know she doesn’t praise faintly and she didn’t really want to read the book.
No, really. When I crafted the email asking her to be part of the blog tour, I expected a no.
So when she not only said yes, but then reviewed it so lovingly (and honestly, because I know she doesn’t write or review any other way), I can only shake my head.
Who am I?
Well, I’m the lady with chore boots, a basket of laundry, and a pitchfork, that’s who! 🙂

If you haven’t already purchased your three copies of A Catholic Mother’s Companion to Pregnancy: Walking with Mary from Conception to Baptism (one for the newly pregnant woman in your life, one for your parish library, and one for your local pregnancy center), then you can find information here.
I’m a Catholic wife and mom, too, and I LOVED the excerpt of your book on Amazon! Maybe you address this elsewhere on your blog, but… did your husband ever convert to Catholicism? It awfully hard to have a Catholic family life when only one of the parents is a practicing Catholic! (I know, I married an evangelical who was CLOSE to converting when we married, but the 5 years between the wedding and his receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation was HARD! Thank God for Janet Smith and Scott Hahn!)
I ask because my daughter is pregnant and is planning on marrying the father of her child… who is a non-denominational Christian. She thinks (as a naive 19 year old) that she can still make a Catholic home for this baby.
I am a convert; my husband is a cradle Catholic.
I can just imagine the pain and burden you’re describing–talk about dying to self! Only the Holy Spirit makes converts: the best we can do is try to be his instrument and let him grow the seeds he instructs us to plant.
I’m no good at that, by the way.
I will keep you and your daughter in my prayers.
Many blessings!
