This is a timely reminder for me. Thanks to the kind soul who sent it to me in an email this morning:
In dangers, in doubts, in difficulties, think of Mary, call upon Mary. Let not her name depart from your lips, never suffer it to leave your heart. And that you may obtain the assistance of her prayer, neglect not to walk in her footsteps. With her for guide, you shall never go astray; while invoking her, you shall never lose heart; so long as she is in your mind, you are safe from deception; while she holds your hand, you cannot fall; under her protection you have nothing to fear; if she walks before you, you shall not grow weary; if she shows you favor, you shall reach the goal.
– St. Bernard of Clairvaux
Hi! I’ve keep seeing everyone talk about the Mary Moments Carnival, but I can’t seem to find exactly where it is or what the theme is for January. Could you please write to me and explain where to find the details and how it works? I’m very interested. Thanks! 🙂
Hi Lacy! Thanks for your interest.
To my knowledge, no one does the Mary Moments Carnivals anymore. The last one (that I know about, unless someone else is doing them) was back in May.
Since then, I have been hosting a “Mary Moment” segment as part of the Catholic Moments podcast. You can find it at http://www.catholicmoments.com.
If you are interested in guest posting about Mary, I’d be happy to host you. I have been doing a Mary Moment Monday reflection each week, and I tossed around the idea of doing the carnivals, but life has been in my way (whether by choice or by design, I’m not sure).
Does that help, Lacy?
Thanks again for stopping by! Your site looks delicious and full of great ideas! 🙂
I just love St. Bernard of Clairveux. I am saving that quote, I really love it. I am so glad you shared it.
