About.com is once again hosting their Catholicism Reader’s Choice awards.
Every year, the About Readers’ Choice Awards showcase the best products, people, organizations, and services in multiple categories, from technology to hobbies to parenting to religion. The readers of About.com make the nominations; each About.com Guide chooses the finalists (up to five in each category) from among the nominees; and the readers and others vote to choose one of the finalists as the best in the category for that year.
And I sure read quite a few Catholic books last year. So I have at least a couple of nominations to make.
And wow, I love Catholic blogs, and Catholic podcasts, and pretty much everything else on the awarding list.
Will you join me?
Go here to nominate a book and go here to see the listing of all the categories.
It’s a bit confusing on that main page: you click the topic and when I nominated more than one, I just clicked back from the specific form.
Enjoy! 🙂
I have a favourite that literally changed my life. The title makes it appear esoteric but it is a down to earth description of two Carmelite nuns who can say with St. Paul “No longer I that lives but Christ that lives in me.”
It was earth shattering when I first read this little book 25 years ago- Finally someone who witnessed “normal Christian life” in action, with their own eyes.
